Employers
Employees are an asset to their employers from small business to large business.
I have noticed over the years with my previous employers that some companies do care about their employees. Some Companies reward their staffs with bonuses and once every three months take their staff to tenpin bowling and then for a meal without their partners which I believe to be fair and generous of such companies who do this.
We all know some employees try to deceive employers by being sick and unable to work. It’s a known fact that some employees deliberately abuse company equipment and some employees don’t care if the Company they work for gets a fine because the employee was negligent and did not follow the employer’s protocols.
The NHS will seek to recoup the cost of treating people who have been injured at work and have received personal injury compensation from the 29th of January 2007.
Although the move has been expected for sometime, the impact on the employer and their future Employers Liability insurance premium may prove significant. This development further strengthens the necessity for employers to detect, prevent and manage sickness absence in the workplace.
Many employers still fail to appreciate the benefits of promoting a healthier workforce.
Healthy people are productive people (fact). Healthcare support should not be limited to the executive class. It will seem that many employers require greater support for managing employee absence, particularly in cases of chronic illness and stress. Occupational health support can be invaluable in such cases and by balancing the needs of both parties, can be an enormous help to the employer and their staff.
I believe that Employers should listen to their employee’s show some sort of relationship with your employee. If for example the employee was injured at work and hospitalised, visit them at home or hospital make your employee feel you care. The employee will feel valuable and motivated to get better and return to work
