InsomniaSome people say “they stay awake thinking of problems”, like how they are going to pay the next mortgage payments, loans and credit cards. By worrying about money you're stressing yourself and going in to a premature depression which pumps up levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Lack of sleep means the body does not have enough time for cells to repair. My mother, a retired chief nursing officer, says prolonged sleep deprivation runs down the immune systems increasing the risk of cancer, heart disease, diabetes and obesity. This makes you age more through stressing, depression. A willingness to do nothing.

My tips are, in the long term take control of your finances and in the short term improve your sleeping, by going to bed at a certain time every night Monday to Friday, if you don’t work weekends. If you work long hours, you need to cut it short. Rest more, only you will know how different you will feel after this tip as been tried. Have a hot bath, “I do every night”, have a hot milky drink with a spoonful of honey, stirred in. Think of something exciting when going to sleep.
