The Media

The Media has its Advantages and Disadvantages in society the world over. A familiar phrase, trial by the media, this is a problem.

The MediaI have always said that the media are a problem in our society in the UK, and the rest of the world. The media don’t have to answer to anybody, so they try to influence public opinion or latch on to a story for to long sometimes lying in the process.

I believe its time for a limit to what the media and tabloids can publish in papers and air on television. They are creating fissions in our society with sometimes false information and wrongly accusing a person who is still being investigated, showing no regards to the damages they cause to that person who is later not charged with anything in our society.

These are the same tabloids that condemned channel 4 for showing Princess Diana’s crash against her children’s wishes. These are the same tabloids who published pages of the crash in there papers. These are the same people who criticize the Royal Family, the government, feeding the nation with irrelevant information. It’s a big shame that the media can’t be given a drilling in public.
The media actually believe they are unstoppable to the amount of information they give while the police are investigating an on going crime or terrorist crimes.
We need information from the media, but they must know their limitations to what is aired on TV or published in the newspapers.

The media and tabloids say we don’t trust the government or politicians but do we trust the media press who ever they are? I don’t think so, it’s so easy for the press to feed the nation with false information influencing society with lies and apologising in small prints.
It is far too easy for a newspaper to lie and call politicians liars (fact).

I believe that standards have dropped in some tabloids way too low, for example on the 30th of June 2007 another correction towards the end pages of a newspaper said “correction”, Judge Grenfell, article in yesterday’s paper the 29th of June 2007 said Judge Grenfell, sitting on Thursday at Leeds Mercantile Court, had heard 75 cases relating to bank charges, finding in favour of the claimant in the majority of cases.
In fact, no judgments were made that day other than two cases, which were struck out.  I bet it was towards the front page when this was published in the papers, large you could not miss the article.

The MediaNow these are the same tabloids that were encouraging its readers to claim back their bank charges are now saying “don’t take your banks to court, save and spend, 23rd June 2007.

There are so many families who live by the month and are broke later within 3 days of being paid. Not because they wished it on themselves. It’s the banking system and the way they run standing orders, direct debits need to change as they are not explaining or making it clear to account holders. Some families loose as much as £100 in bank charges from failed direct debits leading to being over drawn by as low as 20 pence and charged a penalty charge of £35.

So many families are caught up in a web of bank charges by banks. The sooner this mess is sorted out the better it will be for families on low incomes who struggle to make ends meet in such a demanding society.

Media and phone in scams

How bizarre is this, we know over 75% of society or there about watches TV at home. It has come to light that some of the media channels are ripping us off from phone in quiz calls or shows. TV chiefs are bracing themselves for record fines over the premium rate phone scam.
Ofcom slapped a fine of £300,000 on 5 for “misleading” fans of brainteaser.
Officials have warned that there’s more to come. Ofcom is still probing phone-in contest on GMTV.
My tip is not to call these premium numbers and if you decide you want to, find out how much it is going to cost, do your home work. These days nobody is honest when it comes to money.

Sometimes we cannot believe what we read in papers, even though we can’t do without the media and tabloids.

Another example, the media was expecting Tony Blair to have a rough drilling and ride in his last appearance in the House of Commons, here are some of the complements:

The MediaConservative leader said, “I’m sure life in the public eye has sometimes been tough on your family, so can I say on behalf of my party that we wish you and your family well, and we wish you every success in whatever you do.” David Cameron, lib dems, and Rev Ian Paisley said,- “I’m glad today that I can stand here and say to the Prime Minister-the people of Northern Ireland felt the same way that he felt , they were angry, they were cross, they lost their temper, they were sad, but we have made progress.” Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague said “He is an extraordinary piece of work. We won’t see his like again for a long time. In the Conservative Party we are pretty thankful for that."

The drilling the Media was expecting never materialised instead Tony Blair got a standing ovation from everybody after his speech. This came as a shock to the media and tabloids. I have noticed that the tabloids wants us to vote for David Cameron with the nice things they say about him and his party, but what I do know is “that the majority of the public make their decisions on merit.” Cheri Blair said to the waiting press who were gathered outside 10 Downing Street as she was getting into the waiting car we won’t miss you. I can tell you the media did not like that one bit.

Tony Blair was the best Prime Minister since Margaret Thatcher, whether we like it or not. What pressures if any was Tony Blair put under to invade another Sovereign country like Iraq by the President George Bush of the United States of America?
“The invasion of Iraq without the UN’s backing and the non-existence of weapons of mass destruction ended his credibility.”

Faze4u.com wishes him and his family the best in the coming future.
