Wanting to start your own business, but…

Wanting to start your own business, but…This is what happened to me, when one waits for perfect conditions before taking action on those ideas.  I have never liked, warehouse work, long hours and taking risk.  I kept beating myself up; “if I only listened to my mother” when she was saying read your text book at school.  Set your goals high etc, etc…  I was brought up well and educated and because I came from a broken family I guess it affected me in away.  My father sold the house without my mother’s knowledge after my mother caught him having an affair with his secretary. Let’s move on.

Ten wasted years have passed me by since the day I said I’ll like to start my business.  Every time I tried to cut loose from my employers, something happened which stopped me from taking action.

Lack of money, economic recession, new baby, the need of temporary security, Loan Company, and more excuses all served as reasons for waiting, for postponing.  Regrettable thoughts.

The real truth is that I let myself develop into a passivationist.  I wanted conditions to be perfect before I took action.  Since conditions have not been perfect I have never been able to take action.

Here are two examples so you don’t make the costly mistakes I made waiting until conditions are perfect before you act.

Always remember conditions can never be perfect as we do not live in a perfect world.  Always expect future obstacles and difficulties.  Every venture presents risks, problems and uncertainties. We all take risks from the time we leave our homes every day. Let me say for example you are single and you are looking for a partner, you go looking, you visit wine bars clubs etc, you take action because the partner you want will not knock on your door or drop on your lap.

Coming across obstacles and problems as they arise.  The test of a successful person is not the ability to eliminate all problems before they take action, but rather the ability to find solutions to difficulties when he or she encounters them along the way.  In business, marriage, or in any activity, cross bridges when you come to them.

I have had to wake up and face reality in tackling my ideas.  I am writing a book called Fazed out.  It’s a romantic book with some spices of action in it.
Please if you don’t have confidence and you let fear have a grip on you then you will be permanently rooted to negative thinking and waiting for things to happen for you.  While the clock ticks away.  No-one is born into this world with confidence, we develop confidence.  Fear is a disease that stops people from doing things or taking risks, I am not saying go and put your hand in fire, of cause fire will burn you.

But in life starting any business there will always be ups and downs and nothing is easy but the rewards later will be breathe taking.

Fear > Find out what you are afraid of and isolate your fear.  Then take action.  There is some kind of action for any kind of fear.  And hesitation only enlarges the fear be more decisive.

Remember a mismanaged memory leads to a lack of confidence.
